Zanzibar’s islands are a true adventure for anyone who loves the ocean. It’s a haven for divers and snorkelers, those dreaming of exploring coral reefs straight from a yacht, and thrill-seekers looking to ride the waves. You’ll have the chance to see a plethora of islands, including Latham and Mafia, renowned for their deep waters and breathtaking coral reefs. Prepare for exhilarating dives, the opportunity to feed the elusive yellowfin tuna, thrilling deep-sea fishing, and unique wildlife. Latham is a favored nesting site for seabirds and turtles! Mafia teems with herbivorous whale sharks and giant manta rays year-round (from November to March). You’ll also visit Chole, home to fruit-eating flying foxes, and Jibondo, where local builders construct traditional dhow boats right on the beach, and fishers hunt reef sharks.
The ocean, it’s like love. You have to take the plunge to really get it. You come out changed.

You’re just a step away.
Bask in the deep, velvety African night sky and its dazzling stars!

Latham is a tiny island, a mere 300 meters long and 300 meters wide, but it’s surrounded by a stunning reef and lies far from the continental shelf, making the waters around it deep. The best time to visit is October, December, and late February through late April.
Gentle giants—whale sharks—are here year-round, but they’re most abundant from November to March.
Here, you’ll want to pause and appreciate that such beauty is a sight few are privileged to witness, and how fortunate you are to experience it firsthand.
Fruit bats feed on the juice and pulp of fruits and blossoms. Unlike other bats, they don’t use echolocation.
Today’s agenda for a perfect mood – dive, relax, repeat!

The whale shark, unlike most other sharks, feeds on plankton. It swims slowly, no faster than 5 km/h, and poses no danger to humans.

Don’t be surprised if the Indian Ocean and the islands of Zanzibar transform you, leaving you more peaceful, laid-back, and happy. You have absorbed the essence of life, the Indian Ocean, and the islands of Zanzibar.
