Harmony of civilization
and untamed wilderness

This unique camp is nestled on the slopes of Mount Olmoti, in a highland forest near the Ngorongoro Crater. Eight dome-shaped bungalows, inspired by traditional Maasai dwellings known as “bomas,” create an otherworldly ambiance.

Each room features panoramic glass walls, offering unobstructed views of the Serengeti National Park landscape. Special porthole-style windows ensure the beauty of the African night sky is never missed. An open veranda with breathtaking views of the surrounding area, a large bed, a fireplace, and cozy blankets create an inviting atmosphere and provide warmth on cool evenings.

One of the bungalows can accommodate a family with two children, featuring a separate, slightly smaller bungalow. It includes a private shower and toilet and is connected to the main bungalow by a terrace, providing a comfortable space for outdoor games and activities.

During your stay at the camp, you can hike along an ancient Maasai trail to the summit of Mount Olmoti. Along the way, you’ll encounter many butterflies, and upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the crater.

To the northeast of Olmoti lies the Empakaai Crater, famous for its alkaline lake and countless flamingos. You can also visit directly from the lodge to witness flocks of vibrant pink flamingos.

The Highlands Camp is where all the comforts of Western civilization coexist harmoniously with the pristine natural environment.
