Colors and
giants of the sea

Snorkeling in Kenya and Tanzania offers a plunge into an underwater wonderland. Off the coasts of Watamu and Diani, the water is strikingly clear, revealing coral gardens teeming with schools of vibrant fish, sea turtles, and even dolphins. Along the shores of Zanzibar, the ocean stretches endlessly, while the reefs below pulse with life. Another remarkable spot is Mafia Island, where from November to February, you can snorkel alongside whale sharks. These gentle giants are completely safe to swim with, creating a truly transformative experience. The sea is especially calm in the mornings, with sunlight illuminating the underwater world from within.

Madagascar moves to a completely different rhythm. Here, snorkeling isn’t just about observation—it’s full immersion in nature. Around Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie, the underwater landscapes are wild and virtually untouched. Corals of every shape and hue, starfish, rays, moray eels, and the occasional reef shark come alive right beneath you. The water glows with a luminous azure, as if lit from within. In the distance, you’ll spot palm trees, fishing boats, and red-sand beaches. It feels like stepping back in time. Snorkeling in Madagascar isn’t about thrills; it’s about surrender—into silence, into the rhythm of the tides, your breath, and the infinite sweep of the sea.

We fell in love with Africa for its unique nature and people. The emotions we have experienced here are hard to convey but can be given, that’s why we have dedicated our lives to it. Each point of the route has already been tried by us personally, it remains to make an individual program for you personally.

Where to find snorkeling in Africa

Zanzibar

This is the Zanzibar archipelago, a coral group off the east coast of Tanzania. While it comprises 75 islands, only three are significant: Unguja Island (often simply called Zanzibar), Pemba Island, and Mafia Island.
